Let’s face it, forming groups that are for social, personal or professional reasons can be cumbersome tasks. There’s a lot of planning involved and you may experience pushback from the people you want to connect with the most. However, when you make effort to improve and coordinate the group the way you envision it – you will begin to see its value and benefits. For shop owners who belong to the automotive or trucking industry, forming and joining groups are the best way to run a lucrative business.
Here are three ways to form groups:
Utilize Social Media
It’s fast, convenient and accessible to many. You can start by sharing fun and engaging content with your friends who work in the same sector as you. A great way to did this is by creating and forming a social media group on Facebook that is exclusively for the general repair, collision or trucking sectors. Not only is it the best way to keep in touch with like-minded shop owners, but it is also a great starting point in building a strong community.
If you haven’t already, try attending a local town hall meeting. You can use these meetings to receive and give information. For example, a meeting can be used to announce a new policy that affects local automotive businesses. By doing this, you may be able to seek out those who work in the same field as you and exchange contact information.
Host an Event at Your Shop
At Management Success, the word ‘host’ is an acronym for, ‘helping others succeed today’. We encourage our clients to connect with one another outside of our headquarters and share effective business solutions.
Each year, we host two conventions where like-minded automotive professionals get together for three-days of networking ground breaking workshops, masters panels, awards dinner and a whole lot of fun. Click here to learn more.
